Savannah's 18th Birthday!

On May 17th, our precious sister and daughter, Savannah, turned 18!

Happy 18th Birthday Savanah!

Contentment

Realizing that God has provided everything I need for my present happiness

"Not that I seek in regard to need,
for I have learned in whatever state I am,
to be content."
-Philippians 4:11

Savannah, you are such a joy and a blessing to our family!  You are always there when we need you and are willing to do any job that is asked of you.  Your ready smile and sweet spirit make everyone feel at ease!  You are a hard worker and we are so grateful that the Lord saw fit to give you to us!  We love you Savannah and hope that the Lord blesses you in this year to come!

Happy Birthday Vanna!

More goat pictures

Some of the first freshners...

"Alright, girls,... if we span out in a line like this, we can cover the whole field in a matter of, well, it might take longer than we think..."

Sisters Ginger and Sugar eating together, with Emma walking into the picture.

Whitney

Ginger loved getting her picture taken.

Matron milkers Allie and Dreamer waiting to come into the milking parlor.

Sunshine...
When we got this goat two years ago, we didn't know her name, but she wouldn't stand still in the milking stanchion.  Until...we started singing to her, and then she stood as still as anything.  She really liked "You Are My Sunshine", which is how she got her name!  Now she is such a darling and is one of our biggest producers!

Happy Birthday Dad!

April 29th was our wonderful father's birthday!

Determination

Purposing to accomplish God's goal in God's timing regardless of the opposition

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.  Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His apperearing."
(2 Timothy 4:7-8)

We love you so much Dad and are thankful for all that you mean to our family!  You are our leader and our strong support!  You guide our family to follow God's ways in every step that we take, and we are forever grateful to the Lord for giving us you!  We as a family wouldn't be where we are today if it wasn't for your loving guidance!  We love you Dad and hope that you had a wonderful day!

Our lovely milking herd

Now, for pictures of our girls!
This picture is of Honey when she kidded.  We named the baby Eggnog.  Honey was such a good mother!

This is Ivy.  She is one of our middle aged milking does.

So far we are up to milking 24 does.  We have had 48 babies so far this year and we have one more doe to kid still.  Our first batch of babies were born in January and we had 31 babies born in 10 days!  Jordan crocheted us some colorful little collars for each of the babies so that we could remember who was who!  The first batch was weaned just in time for the wedding and our trip to Florida.  The day after we got back home, it started all over again with the second batch having their babies.  So far we have had 17 kids in the second batch.

Pictured below are the young doelings who are our first fresheners (first time to have babies and be milked).  Keely is on the far left of the picture, then it's Emma and Lily standing, with Courtney and Whitney laying down.  Keely and Whitney are twins.

Clancy

I haven't been posting about much else than the wedding lately, so the next two posts will be about the animals!

Clancy!
Little did we know that when we got this little cutie pie that he would turn into...

...this BIG cutie pie!
This is actually our other dog, Toby's, bed, but Clancy likes to sleep in it when Toby isn't!  But, he doesn't quite fit in it, so we had to get him an upgrade.

Many times he can be found keeping an eye on the house from the picnic table on the back porch!

What's even funnier is we have a habit of cutting pictures out of magazines of things we like, such as ideas for house decorations, or flowers that we'd someday like to find the name of and plant, or...pets that we would someday like to have.  So, the other day, Mom stumbled upon this picture of a dog that she would like to have someday, and boy, we couldn't have gotten any closer to this picture with Clancy if we'd tried!

Here's a video of Clancy.  He is, for the most part, Ethan's dog.  So Ethan has taught him a couple of tricks, such as the one that you will see in the video, that are a little out of the ordinary!
(The volume is really low on this video, but both Dad and Ethan are asking Clancy to "give me a hug!"  Clancy's response is funny!)

The Farm

No, we haven't fallen off the face of the earth...just been a little too busy to find the time to blog!  Some of you have been asking about pictures on the farm, so here are a few that were taken in the last couple of weeks or so.
~ ~ ~
A misty mornin'...

Two little kitties....

Chito...

Whiskers....

Whiskers adopted us.  He meandered onto our farm when he was only a couple of weeks old and Chito sort of took care of him.  We weren't sure if he was going to stick around once he grew up, but he considers this his home!
