Boy,...better late than never! Here are a few pictures to capture what we did for Thanksgiving and Christmas!
While my family was having Thanksgiving at home with my grandparents and aunts and uncles, Matthew and I drove up to Ohio to spend the holiday with Matthew's side of the family. We had a good time and a lovely trip. Almost all of Matthew's family were there as well as the Hynes family (Luke's inlaws and long-time friends of the Dickersons). It was wonderful to get to see everyone again and to meet people I had heard so much about.
(We celebrated an early Thanksgiving with my family before we left for Ohio.)
Whenever the Hynes and Dickersons get together, they like to take a big family picture of all the kids. Both the Dickersons and the Hynes have 13 kids each. So in the above photo, all of them are lined up in birth order.
In the picture below, they are there with their spouses.
(Matthew and I are both in green left of the middle)
We then spent Christmas and New Year with my family.
Here are Matthew and I in front of our Christmas tree at our house. Matthew cut down that tree from our property and trimmed it up. My family then came over and helped us make homemade ornaments for it. Our first tree was definitely a big memory maker!
Here's Dad making fried fish for Christmas Eve!

Sweet family time
Matthew had a few Christmas performances scheduled at some local churches, so here he is playing at one of them.
