Jordan and Caleb spent the weekend at our house, gathering her extra belongings and giving us a few more days to be with them. We had a wonderful time with them, playing putt-putt, looking at pictures, playing laser tag, going out to eat, talking, laughing, and just hanging out. But yesterday it was time to say our goodbyes, because they had to start making their way up to their home in Canada. I have never had such a hard time saying goodbye as I did yesterday to my big sister. She will be be deeply missed in our home, but at the same time we are so very happy for her as she is enjoying her new role in life as Caleb's wife! Caleb is a godly young man and we couldn't have asked for anything better!
" The Lord is good to all, and his tender mercies are over all his works."
~Psalm 145:9
"Praise the LORD, call upon His name; declare His deeds among the peoples, make mention that His name is exalted. Sing to the LORD, for He has done excellent things; this is know in all the earth." Isaiah 12:4-5
I can only imagine all the mixed emotions in your home the past few weeks. You are very happy for Jordan but at the same time anticipating how much you will terribly miss her. What a joy though to know that she has married a godly young man who will love and cherish her.
