Are you puzzled yet???

A friend recently sent us this puzzle and I had a good time trying to figure it out!

There are 5 different houses each with a different color.  Each house is owned by a person of a different nationality.  The 5 owners each drink only one type of beverage, eat one type of fruit, and own one classic book.  Using the clues below determine who owns Moby Dick

  • The German lives in a red house.
  • The Swede owns The Scarlet Letter.
  • The Dane drinks tea.
  • The green house is on the immediate left of the white house.
  • The green house owner drinks coffee.
  • The person who eats bananas owns To Kill A Mockingbird.
  • The owner of the yellow house eats apples.
  • The man living in the house right in the middle drinks milk.
  • The Norwegian lives in the first house.
  • The man who eats pears lives next door to the one who owns The Grapes Of Wrath.
  • The man who owns Call of the Wild lives next door to the man who eats apples.
  • The owner who eats strawberries drinks root beer.
  • The Brit eats apricots.
  • The Norwegian lives next to the blue house.
  • The man who eats pears has a neighbor who drinks water.
Hmmm....think you know the answer?  I'll let you think about it for a little while.  The answer will be posted sometime soon!

What A Friend We Have In Jesus

What a friend we have in Jesus,
 all our sins and griefs to bear!
What a priviledge to carry
 ev'rything to God in prayer!
Oh, what peace we often forfeit,
 oh, what needless pain we bear,
All because we do not carry
 ev'rything to God in prayer!

Have we trials and temptations?
 Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged,
 take it to the Lord in prayer:
Can we find a friend so faithful
 who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our every weakness,
 take it to the Lord in prayer.

Are we weak and heavy laden,
 cumbered with a load of care?
Precious Saviour, still our refuge;
take it to the Lord in prayer:
Do thy friends despise, forsake thee?
 take it to the Lord in prayer;
In His arms He'll take and shield thee;
 thou wilt find a solace there.

Many times we try to take things into our own hands and handle them our own way. We let things bother us that should be forgiven and forgotten. Yet God has given us, as His children, a wonderful gift. The gift of Prayer.
He is ready to listen to us at all times. Ready to comfort, calm, strengthen, convict and forgive us. God knows that we need a friend to talk to, to cry to, to run to, and to listen to. He wants to be that friend. My prayer is that all of us would learn to take everything, from the biggest of challenges and problems to the smallest of concerns, straight to the Lord Jesus Christ in prayer!
