Noah

Noah is almost 16 and is the youngest member of the family.

Noah's big thrill for this year is getting his driving permit!  He's had his permit for a couple of months now and it won't be long before he gets his license.  He's doing quite well out on the roads and not scaring any of his passengers too much. ;-)

He's taken on helping Dad with pool cleaning since Ethan has been going on his own route each week.  Every Wednesday will find Dad and Noah out on their route.  He's learning the ins and outs of all there is to know about pool cleaning and dealing with a customer base.  It also gives Noah a good chance to drive back and forth between all of the jobs.

Noah has two years of schooling left, but, like Ethan, I'm sure he can't wait till he's done with the diploma in hand.

Noah loves all his nieces and is a wonderful uncle.  He, too, is wishing for a nephew, but I'm sure he'll be thankful if it's a girl as well.  Noah does well with keeping the girls occupied, whether it's reading, or story-telling, or being goofy to make them laugh.

He has recently taken up the harmonica, so often times he can be heard practicing it down at the dairy while he's working.  Noah helps with the milking morning and evening.  He's the main guy who jugs up all the milk to sell and does most of the pasteurizing for cheese-making.  So in the in-between time, he picks up his harmonica to try a new tune.  He's getting better and better at it and bought himself a new harmonica that sounds even clearer.

Noah, laying on a bed of nails

Dad and Noah teamed up once again this year to sell at the Tuesday market together to sell our cheese.  He's a good salesman as well.  He has taken over giving some of the farm tours as well this year and has really enjoyed that!  He knows pretty much everything that goes on at the farm and can answer questions and comments that people have.  He has his spiel for the tour and is very thorough.

Noah has taken up playing disc golf with the guys as well and really enjoys it.  They are always on the search for the best disc.  He has been enjoying going to karate with Ethan twice a week as well.

And of course, there's always air soft!  Both of the boys have really gotten into it with their friends and have had huge battles.  They've got some really nice guns and camo gear for it, too!

Noah is a hardworking, godly young man and we love him dearly.  He is always willing to lend a helping hand and is cheerful to do so.

"Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you complete in every good work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever."

A Customer's View of the Aiken Farmer's Market!

One of our customers wrote a blog article including Noah and Kelsey at the Aiken Farmer's Market.  It was a beautifully written post and we thoroughly enjoyed reading it!  I've included the link if anyone is interested in reading it!

Random Phone Photos

Here are some photos that we've taken from our phone over the past few weeks.

Don't they make such a sweet couple!

It was at the end and we were getting slightly bored!

A Wedding, The Farmer's Markets, and Memorial Day, Oh My!

Okay, so for the second installment of my belated posts.....

Last weekend, Mom and Dad traveled down to Florida for my cousins's beach wedding.  They enjoyed being able to get away and spend time together!  Here are some pictures that they took while they were down there...
My wonderful parents!

On the beach...aren't they a handsome couple!

For Memorial Day, we invited my grandparents as well as a family from church over to share dinner and games with us.  Dad was out cooking the meal and playing around with his new photo editing program on his phone!  Here's what he came up with...
The "Grillmaster"

We are also going full steam with the farmer's market right now.  We sell at about 6 markets each week, as well as about 5 restaurants, and one or two stores.  Here are some pictures taken at our Aiken Farmer's Market.

Noah

Me...trying to figure out what Noah is doing with the phone.

Noah and I were trying to figure out how to take a picture on the phone using the "front" view.  Sorry Noah, you sort of got blurred!

Ahh, there we go,...we tried again the following week and this one seemed to have turned out a little bit better!

And this is Ethan and I at the market.  We were having a lovely day, I was busy sampling our goat cheese to a couple of customers when I felt something on my ankle.  I thought it was my skirt swishing against my leg, but it wouldn't stop, so I finally brushed at it with my other foot and when I looked down....I saw this! Look at the size of that thing!

A Rhino Beetle ( a squished Rhino Beetle to be precise!)
Below is what they normally look like!
I held my composure until I was able to give the customers their sample and then jabbed Ethan and told him to kill it!  This is what we looked like afterwards!

So all in all, going to the markets can be very exciting.  Now that you know that I don't like frogs or Rhino Beetles, what are some things that you are afraid of or grossed out by?

We Were On the News

About a month ago, we had two news reporters come out from News Channel 19 WLTX in Columbia to do a report on our farm.

You can view the News Report here
and you can view the whole interview with Dad HERE

Here are a few pictures from our side of the camera!

Filming the kids...

The report aired the following week and it ended up being a pretty nice one!  Both the reporters did a wonderful job and we appreciated the advertisement!

Random Pictures Taken on the Cell Phone

The pictures from this post were all taken from Dad's cell phone.  Several of these pictures we taken using Instagram.  It's kind of a fun program to play around with!

This is a picture of Billionaire Bars.  They are delicious!  In fact, as I make my grocery list this week, these ingredients might just end up on it! He, he, he!

This picture was taken at the start of our cooler weather.  The four of us kids slept out in our tent in the front yard.  Gram, Pop, Mom and Dad joined us for roasting hot dogs and smores over the fire and it turned out to be a very enjoyable evening!

These pictures were taken at a friend's house during milking time.  They let everyone try milking their cow...at least those of us who wanted to give it a try!

Me

This picture was taken at one of the markets that we sell at.  Ethan and I sold at this one, while Dad sold at another.  My, how grown up Ethan's getting!  Time flies!

I hope you all enjoyed that collection of photos!
I enjoyed looking back through them!

Markets, Church Pictures, and Deer, Oh My!

On the last Saturday in September we attended the Herb Faire and sold our cheese, soaps and lotions.  (Was that already a month ago?!?  Time flies!)  So here are the few pictures that we took of that day!

These young men are a few of the team players for our church's unofficial football team.
Ethan and Noah love it!

Mom and Savannah at church...
Look what walked up our driveway a few weeks ago!  We were very surprised to see this deer walk right towards the dairy, stop, eat a little grass and then bound back down the driveway!  Our dog had just finished making his rounds when this deer ventured into the yard!  We took this picture of him from the house, because we didn't want to scare it away.
