Baby Yuck has arrived!!!!!

Abigail Prudence Yuck
was born at 5:12 pm today (March 15th, 2017)!!!

Mama and baby are both doing good!  Little Abigail is beautiful, and Mama did a good job!

She was born on her Grandpa Paul's 63rd birthday, so it was a sweet birthday blessing for him!

The Caleb Yuck family is now a growing family of 6!  Wow!  It's amazing how time flies, because.....

Jordan and Caleb just celebrated their 5th anniversary on March 10th!  It's wonderful to see how the Lord is growing their sweet little family.  We are so happy for them and are praising the Lord for this newest little blessing!

Happy Anniversary Caleb and Jordan!  And congratulations on your newest little one, sweet little Abigail!

Jordan's Update on Her Due Date

Jordan's due date (March 15th) is coming up here shortly, only about two weeks away!  She's been feeling good, which is always a blessing.  Caleb has been spending the last couple of weeks building bunk beds for the girls, as well as a big wall closet in the basement and they are nearing the completion of those projects just in time for their new little daughter to arrive.  We can't wait to "meet" this newest little blessing.  Stay tuned....

Jordan's Birthday!

Yesterday was our dear Jordan's 28th birthday!

"Jordan Rae"
Jordan - flowing down, descend
Rae - grace, the innocent lamb

meaning behind her name: "grace flowing down"

Jordan is the oldest born in the family, the sweet mother figure to us all.  She is now mother to her own three little girls, soon to be four!  We love you dearly Jordan and hope you had a terrific day!
(Jordan celebrated her birthday down in Florida at her sister-in-law, Bethany's, wedding!  Mom and Dad were also there to help them celebrate!)

Jordan & Caleb (and girls)

Jordan is the oldest child in the Hammond family and she married Caleb Yuck in March of 2012.  Together they live in Ontario, Canada where Caleb is from and they have been blessed with three little girlies of their own!  Victoria is 3 1/2, Berea is almost 2, and Evangeline is 8 months.

Caleb's family runs a cow dairy and it's been in the family for over 100 years now.  Caleb just decided what he wants to be when he grows up and made the official decision to become a farmer.  (Hey, he's my brother-in-law, which entitles him to a little bit of teasing, right?!)  No, but in all seriousness, he has been dairying since he was in his teens and has been running it together with his dad for years.  After much prayer, he and Jordan made the decision to take it over once his father is ready to pass it on, leading to another generation of dairy farmers.

Due to that decision, the farm has been installing a new barn for hay storage, gained new baling equipment, and even bought a new tractor that has an extra seat, one so that the girlies can go out to the field to ride with Caleb while he's doing field work!  They all enjoy that and it gives them quality time to spend with their Daddy.  (Caleb and Berea are in the above photo).  In addition to running the dairy, the Yuck family also raises crops, so most of the summer and into the fall finds the guys out on the tractors preparing the fields, planting, harvesting, baling, and tilling.  They are also adding more crop land to their farm this year by cutting down a wooded section on the property.  It's busy times on the farm!

Each year, the whole Yuck family travels down to Florida to spend a month vacation.  Jordan and Caleb also spend quite a bit of that month at Grandpa and Grandma Hammond's house!  It's a wonderful time to catch up with everyone, relax, and enjoy family.

This year, however, just before leaving to head back home to Canada, Caleb tore a good sized gash in his leg while he was out in the woods, so instead of leaving the next day, they ended up staying for a little longer to let him heal.  Once back on the farm, he had to take it easy for a couple of weeks to make sure he didn't re-injure it.  But he's all healed up now and has a lovely scar to show because of it. ;-)

Jordan and Caleb celebrated their 4th wedding anniversary this year and are still as much in love as ever.  God is so good to those who wait on Him for bringing their spouse!  They are a perfect match, one made in heaven, and we are so thankful that they have each other.

Jordan stays busy as a stay-at-home wife and mother.  She keeps up with homemaking, cleaning, taking care of her three little ones, and helping with the paperwork end of Caleb's butcher business as well as his chicken business.  Both her and Caleb love entertaining guests, so many evenings throughout the year will find them either hosting hockey night or game night for all their friends, inviting new acquaintances over for dinner and fellowship, or having family come in from all over to stay for visits.  Her and Caleb are currently working on getting dual citizenship for their girls.

Victoria is Caleb and Jordan's oldest, and she is a ball of energy.  She is constantly thinking and is quite the little talker as well.  She also has quite the sense of humor and is fun-loving; she likes to tease and be goofy!  She's becoming Mommy's right hand at home while she is learning to help with household chores.  She is growing up so fast.  Her newest accomplishment is becoming potty trained!

Berea is the middle daughter and is much more quiet than her older sister Victoria.  But that doesn't make her any less of a thinker!  Often time you look at her and wonder what's going through that little head.  She tries to keep up to Victoria in just about everything and usually does it pretty well.  She's a little sweetie and will melt your heart.

Evangeline, as the youngest, is always watching her sisters.  She is a little darling.  She has started crawling, pulling up and walking a few steps, which has broadened her world greatly!  Evangeline will be right behind her sisters in everything they do pretty soon.  She's very curious and often will be caught in pictures with her mouth open. ;-)

God has graciously blessed this young family and we love them dearly.

"Oh, how great is Your goodness,
Which You have laid up for those who fear You,
Which You have prepared for those who trust in You

In the presence of the sons of men!"

Evangeline Repentance Yuck

October 8th, 2015, Jordan gave birth to her third little girl,  Evangeline!   The birth went well with only a 2 1/2 hour labor.   She did end up having to deliver in the hospital due to the fact that she was having issues with meconium.  But baby was born quickly and natural,  and both momma and baby are
healthy!  Caleb and Jordan couldn't be more thrilled and Victoria and Berea love their new little sister.

Evangeline weighed 8lbs. 1 oz. and she was born at 5:27am.

Praise God from whom all blessings flow!

Family time....

Okay folks, long time in coming, I know, but with this post, I am finally caught up on my late posts!  Whew!

Matthew was able to come down to help me celebrate my 24th birthday, which made the day all the more special for me!  Jordan and Caleb were able to stay with their girls as well, so it was nice to have my whole family there!

Eating dinner

Enjoying her cake...

Matthew surprised me with a bouquet when he first arrived. *so sweet*

He also bought me a bike for my birthday!  We had so much fun riding rental bikes together through Greenville, and he already has one, so it was a wonderful gift that I'm sure the two of us will enjoy.

Trying it out!

For my birthday, Matthew offered to take me out to eat somewhere special, but I asked him if we could go on a picnic instead.  I had picked out a nice grassy area next to a pond about 5 minutes down the road from us that I thought would be really nice, so that's where we headed.

Noah was our chaperone and he did a wonderful job taking photos!

Reading the card he made for me!  That's our picture on the front!

The picnic was W-O-N-D-E-R-F-U-L!
We had a wonderful time just kicking our shoes off and talking and eating and laughing and having a good ole time!

Some flowers that Matthew picked for my hair.

Then he got the sweet idea to make me a flower crown!  So he stopped beside the road and picked these wisteria vines and wove them into a beautiful wreath!

Saturday, on our way to the market

Ethan, Noah, Caleb and Matthew jumped in even though it was still very cold.

Dad had a pool customer who was getting rid of this little car, so he brought it home and fixed it up so it's running again for his granddaughters.  Victoria and Berea LOVE it!

We all really enjoyed the time that we were able to spend with Jordan, Caleb, Victoria and Berea while they were down here!  We can't wait to meet the new little Yuck this fall!

Absolutely lovely!  (And delicious!)

Matthew worked the Master's golf tournament as a valet/driver with Dad, Ethan and Poppy while he was down here visiting.  He brought me home these beautiful bouquets one evening after work!!!
(He brought me the sunflowers because I mentioned that they were my favorite flower.  Awe....)

Mom, working around the yard with Toby, her dog, and Buddy, her goat!  Too cute!

We recently got a new Great Pyrenees puppy!

Sunday morning!

Simply enjoying each other's company!

Savannah has been our faithful photographer/chaperone whenever we need her!  My whole family has been stepping in when we want to go somewhere or do something together and need a chaperone volunteer to go with us!  They are all so sweet!
