Official Courtship Pictures!

Okay, everyone!  As promised...
pictures from this week!
Caleb & Jordan
Do you recognize this tree?  These pictures were taken at Hopeland Gardens, the place that we took the whole Yuck family when they were down in April!  The picture below is from April, standing in front of the same tree, only in the above picture Jordan and Caleb weren't quite so far apart!

Psalm 106:1-2
"Praise the Lord! Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.
Who can utter the mighty acts of the Lord? Who can declare all His praise?"
For those of you who don't really understand this whole courtship process and would like to read more about it, or if you would simply like to know what our two families think courtship should look and be like, Caleb's mother, Mrs. Debbie Yuck wrote two posts about courtship on their family's blog.  You can read them
and

Psalm 100

"Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands.  Serve the LORD with gladness: come before His presence with singing.  Know ye that the LORD He is God: it is He that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people, and the sheep of His pasture.  Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise: be thankful unto Him, and bless His name.  For the LORD is good; His mercy is everlasting; and His truth endureth to all generations."

Jordan and Caleb used this week to get to know each other a little better, finding out more about one another, determining if they could be suitable for each other, and simply enjoying their time together.  We pray that the Lord will be glorified and lifted up through their courtship, that they will serve as a wonderful example to others who are considering choosing this road over the world's dating game mentality, and that the Lord's will be done throughout the entire thing!

  1. Thank you, Kelsey, for the wonderful photos and the update! It has been such a blessing to our family to see the courtship process 'in action'. We are very happy for Jordan and Caleb and are praying that the Lord will lead them in the paths of righteousness for HIS name's sake (Psalm 23). Of course, we are also praying for a short courtship! :) Knowing that there will be several more updates will mean that we will be checking on your blog more frequently!

  2. Well, as a friend of Caleb's for many years, all I can say is that these pictures make me very happy - indeed, even excited - for him. Also, Miss Hammond, as you no doubt already know, you are courting a truly amazing young man. He has earned a lot of my respect during our friendship. I'll be praying for you both during this important time of seeking God's will.
Way to go, Caleb! And you too, Miss Hammond.
    With Absolute Sincerity,
    Owen Hebbert
