The Betrothal...

Okay, okay. So I couldn't leave you all in suspense like that. I couldn't take it! I'm about to burst with joy, so I have to tell about it!

As you all know, Jordan has spent the last two weeks up in Canada visiting with Caleb and the whole Yuck Family.  Well, she arrived home yesterday, and much to our surprise she brought Caleb and his sister, Bethany, with her!  A wonderful surprise!  (More about that later...)

Last night, as Caleb and Jordan sat out by the pool doing their devotions, Caleb asked Jordan to marry him, with the whole-hearted approval and blessings of both sets of parents!  She said yes!
"He who findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favor from the Lord."
-Proverbs 18:22
"The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and He delights in His way."
-Psalms 37:23

"Trust in the Lord, and do good; dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness.  Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart.  Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass."
-Psalm 37:3-5
~~~~~~
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths."
-Proverbs 3:5-6
"Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor.  For if they fall, one will lift up his companion.  But woe to him who is alone when he falls, for he has no one to help him up."
-Ecclesiastes 4:9-10
Caleb and Bethany will be here until Monday and we are busy ( and having fun) discussing all the wedding details!  The date is set for March 2012!  They are such a cute couple!  Blessings abound!
  1. How we praise God for His goodness, for bringing these two precious children together, for uniting them, their hearts.
    May The Lord's name be glorified in all Caleb and Jordan think and do, and may their testimony be a shining example of faithfulness to the King of kings, of all that God is able to do in the lives of His people.
    We, as a family, rejoice in this excellent news! Our happiness in having Jordan join our family is overflowing. And our pleasure in uniting the Hammond family with ours through this marriage is tremendous!
    Glory to God in the Highest who doeth all things well!!
