"As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord." ~Joshua 24:15d

We finally got rain! I was walking through the fields the other day and the grass was almost crunching! How refreshing the rain is! Everything is a brillant shade of green and we can drive down the driveway again without stirring up a dust storm behind us! The rain also brought with it another blessing! Cooler weather! This summer was one of the hottest that anyone can remember! We had 118 days so far of 90 degree weather or hotter! (We broke the record this year! We normally only have about 84 days!) So needless to say, we are thoroughly enjoying this reprieve! It might not be here to stay, but it sure is a nice break!
"Now therefore, fear the Lord, serve Him in sincerity and in truth, and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the River and in Egypt. Serve the Lord! And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord."
