Canada for Christmas (Part 5-Last One!)

Towards the end of our visit to the cold north (he,he,he), we went bowling.  Five pin bowling!
My future brother-in-law looks like he may have stepped out of the past with those rolled-up pants!

Savannah rolling a strike!

Blessing is stepping up to bowl,
while I am trying to decide
 which ball to use....Hmmmm?

Go Bethany!

Ethan: "Right...No, left...nooooo right!
The pros!
Jordan and Noah hoping their balls stay in the center!

Cherish, Honour and Libby waiting for their turn!

Sweet Liberty

Afterwards, we went to a VERY nice restaurant, and I mean REALLY nice restaurant because it was called........

....."Kelsey's"!
So...of course it was good, right?

Ahhh...dinner for two....

...Or maybe not!

A final goodbye before they are married....

Sisters...
After spending two very quick weeks with the Yuck family, it was time to head home.  We were expecting our goats to have their babies right after we got home, so we had to hightail it back to the south.  We woke up at 3:00 am and were on the road by about 4:00.  At around 11:00 we heard some funny noises coming from the van and Dad pulled over at a gas station to see what was wrong.  It ended up that the "idler pulley froze and broke the serpentine belt".  (In case you didn't know, I'm not a mechanic and therefore had to go ask my dad for that one!)  We were blessed to stop in a town that had about 4 mechanics.  We were able to walk to the downtown area while our car was getting fixed and eat lunch and then after about a  2-3 hour delay, we were back on the road again.  We arrived home at 2:30 in the morning, having been up for 23 hours!  Whew, what a drive home!  But we made it safe and sound and had a wonderful visit with the Yuck family during our trip!
They will be making their way down here in about a week to help us get ready for the wedding.  Time sure is flying!

  1. Some friends of ours (also friends of the Yucks) will be attending the wedding. I'm looking foward to hearing all about it when they return and seeing the photos of the happy couple on your blog. May the Lord bless them with a long and happy life together.
